I am a fifth year PhD student in philosophy at the University of Michigan, with previous degrees (BA and BPhil) from the University of Oxford.

My primary research is in ethics and the philosophy of cognitive science. I use empirical research and computational models from cognitive neuroscience and machine learning to tackle classical questions about value, motivation, and agency. I also work on how to develop safe AI.
