I am a fifth year PhD student in philosophy at the University of Michigan, currently visiting New York University for the academic year. I have previous degrees (BA and BPhil) from the University of Oxford.
My primary research is in philosophy of mind and cognitive science. I use empirical research and computational models from cognitive neuroscience and machine learning to tackle philosophical questions about desire, motivation, and agency. I also work on how to develop safe AI.
